I am a writer. an editor. a producer. a director. an educator. a pupil.

My name is Maillim Santiago, but you can call me May. I was born in South Carolina with a heart in Puerto Rico. Raised in the sweltering shelter of the Sunshine State, I currently reside in the DMV area. With a MFA in Digital Cinema from University of Central Florida, I am an intuitive, creative, and innovative filmmaker and artist with the ability to successfully translate intimate and personal moods, messages, concepts, and ideas into different artistic ventures. I make one-person essay-film structures of all kinds – feature and short, doc, narrative, and experimental. My talent lies in adapting to quick-learning environments and remaining open-minded to transient situations. I have a passion for brainstorming, collaboration, and the psychology and sociology behind identity through art as a medium, and (always) music. You can read more about my current work here.
